8 Great Places to Eat During High Point Market

Furniture market is one of our favorite times in High Point, the streets of downtown become filled with people from all over the world wanting see the hundreds of beautiful showrooms and vendors. Trust us, we know it can be just as exhausting as it is exciting. So, to relieve some of your stress, we narrowed down a few of our favorite places to eat in High Point during market. Whether you just want to grab a quick bite before starting your busy day or if you are looking for a relaxing dinner to unwind, we promise you’ll find something you love!

Market Friends we want you to have an amazing experience in our Creative City.  In our opinion that includes great meals (hey, what can we say – we love to eat!).  So please, book early!  Part of the beauty and charm of High Point is our small city size.  Considering our population doubles (!) while our market friends are in town, we want you to enjoy the very best we have to offer so be sure to call and make your reservations early!

 

Penny Path

Penny Path Crepe & Coffee shop is the perfect place to grab something delicious before heading to market.  Their unique selection of savory and sweet crepes is sure to satisfy any of your cravings.  Enjoy cozy booths, outdoor patio seating, or perch at their bar while you watch as your crepe is prepared by their talented and friendly staff.

Insider Tip: Penny Path is a compact coffee shop located right in the heart of downtown, so you may want to get there early to beat the long wait!

Our Favorite Item: The Kitchen Sink Crepe.

98 Asian Bistro

This Asian fusion restaurant offers delicious Thai, Korean, and seafood cruise. 98 Asian Bistro is conveniently located right off Main Street near the Bentley dealership. This tasty restaurant provides great service along with a relaxing outdoor area complete with a soothing water fountain – the perfect atmosphere after a long market day.

Insider Tip: Be sure to walk around inside to see the influence of family and culture.

Our Favorite Item:  The Vermicelli and Pad Thai of course!

Blue Zucchini

Blue Zucchini is great place for a causal lunch or dinner. This small bistro offers large selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads, soups, and tasty baked goods.

Insider Tip: They will not seat you until your entire party is there due to their small size.

On a tight schedule?  We have all been there. OrganicAF has got you covered if you are on the run and looking for a fresh, healthy snack – fast! This organic juice bar has a wide range of cold-pressed juices, smoothies, bowls, and other organic snacks. Each juice is comprised of unique ingredients to help with an array of health concerns from restoring energy, to stopping inflammation, to improving concentration.

Blue Water Grille

Blue Water Grille is one of our favorite hidden gems in High Point.  Tucked away off Main Street, it’s a destination worth discovering (ha! see what we did there?). This restaurant offers a curated menu influenced from French, Asian, and low country cuisines. Blue Water Grille offers a great spot to enjoy a delicious meal that makes you savor every bite, and maybe enjoy glass of wine (or three, but hey – who’s counting?).

Insider Tip: We would definitely recommend making a reservation several days in advance as this poplar eatery typically gets fully booked due to market.

Our Favorite Item: Crispy Brusel Sprouts.

LuLu & Blu

Feeling like a little Italian?  We recommend stopping by Lulu & Blu for their creative, Italian inspired food and wine. Borrowing from Italy and the American South, Lulu and Blu’s unique take on traditional Italian fare has critics raving.

Insider Tip: If the weather is nice, they have a great outdoor patio that’s perfect for Fall evenings.

Our Favorite Item: Short Rib Pappardelle

Fixins’ American Craft Eatery

Be ready for a culinary treat, Fixins’ gives you all the comforts of home with an elevated twist.  They focus on offering sustainable, clean, locally sourced scratch-made food with modern craft influences.

Insider Tip: The menu changes often, allowing for many returns, trying something new each time!

Our Favorite Item: The burger (the style and ‘Fixins’ change often but it’s always just as good).

Food Trucks

During market, one of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat is the food truck court between Showplace and IMC or just outside of Market Square. The large selection of mobile eateries with various cuisines will satisfy any craving you may have. Just a short walk away from showrooms with a large range of options, this an ideal way to grab lunch and catch up on your calls, emails or just breathe.  Mindful lunch anyone?

Insider Tip:  There are plenty of places to sit down and enjoy your meal in our Carolina sunshine!
