A View On: Debeen

A day without coffee is like…just kidding.  We have no idea. Thank goodness we have some seriously good coffee in this town.

Debeen Expresso is one of the many gems High Point has to offer locals and visitors alike. This eclectic coffee house provides not only incredible freshly roasted coffee, but you can prepare to feel relaxed and inspired in their space. Their cozy atmosphere is filled with local art and a “zen” fountain that doubles as a koi pond. There is even gelato!

Coffee with a friend is like capturing happiness in a cup!”  Right?!?

Q. Tell us about Debeen in about 10 words.

A. The most established coffee house in High Point since 1997.

Q. Why was it started and what was your vision?

A. It started as an idea by my aunt who lived in the area for several years and my father as the initial investor. The vision, a place for community to make their home away from home. A safe, comfortable and accommodating place for everyone!

Q. How has High Point changed since you started DeBeen?

A. Very slowly, more new businesses and concepts are being introduced. More people are moving into the area and taking a risk to succeed.

Q. What has been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?

A. Starting from nothing. I have worked relentlessly in other businesses (restaurant, design, fabric sales) to support my dream as it continued to grow and become a self sustaining company.
