Q. Tell us about TL Fitness in about 10 words.

A. We take the guesswork out of Fitness. Be prepared! – TL Fitness

Q. Why was it started and what was the vision?

A. I always had a passion for exercising even as a kid. My vision is to continuously come up with innovative workouts to maximize progressions and reduce the risk of injuries. Working with kids all the way up to elders.

Q. What is one thing people would be interested to learn about TL Fitness?

A. You’ll never do the same workout. The workouts are fun but challenging.

Q. What are the highlights and challenges of owning/operating your business?

A. This was always a goal of mine to own my own gym. The highlights are making an impact on obesity and helping people hit their fitness goals. The challenge? It’s a lot in the beginning… trying to get people in the door, marketing, equipping the gym, training and responding to every question anyone has about your services.

Q. Why did you choose to locate TL Fitness in High Point?

A. I loved the space! I looked in the same area about 4 years ago, but didn’t find what I had envisioned. I was looking for open space, and the 2 bay doors sealed the deal for me with all the natural light. Plus, my landlord is the awesome Buck Kester, such a great guy!

Q. How has High Point changed since you started TL Fitness?

A. With restaurants on almost every corner TL fitness is leaving its mark on town helping people become healthier and more active.

Q. What has been your biggest challenge and how did you overcome it?

A. My biggest challenge was trying to do everything myself, then trusting others that specialize in specific areas do what they do best.

Q. How have the citizens and community of High Point supported you?

A. One of the best things about High Point is how well everyone supports one another. I was amazed how word of mouth could be so impactful.

Q. If you had one piece of advice for someone just starting out in High Point, what would it be?

A. My advice to you is to join the Chamber of Commerce to network, talk to as many people as you can, and believe in your craft.

Q. What are you excited about for High Point’s future?

A. Helping more and more people in the community.
