Taco Tuesday: Best Taco’s in High Point

A tray of tacos in High Point, NC

Happy Tuesday! Better yet, Happy Taco Tuesday!

Everyone needs that pick-me-up early in their week to help propel us toward the weekend. For a lot of us, that’s a taco (or two or three.) We cannot get enough of a few flour or corn-wrapped goodies topped with scrumptious salsa and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Well, most of us, who aren’t cilantro haters. Either way, it is a commonly known fact that tacos = joy. So here you go High Point - the best Taco Joints in town. Obviously, we have taken into account drink specials (who doesn’t order a margarita with tacos?!) and budget to give you a wide range of options. Anyone can survey the variety of Mexican restaurants in and around High Point so today's post is all about finding the hidden treasures (or hidden tacos in this case) among all the restaurants in town.  Enjoy!

Wicked Taco: Tex Mex

Who doesn’t love a taco spot with a mascot? Head on down to HIgh Point's newest Taco-eatery Wicked Taco on Main Street to visit Tico and snag an affordable, delectable bite to eat. You will not be disappointed!

2005 North Main Street in the Westchester Square shopping center, near Publix.

Mi Pueblo: Classic

This is your classic Mexican restaurant with better than classic tacos. They have a Street Taco Menu that is to die for. We personally love the fajitas or Taco Loco Lunch for the mid-day pick me up.

111 Northpoint Avenue

Fixins’: Crafty

We can’t get enough of this new eatery in town. Their mission is to combine global flavors with Grandma’s, creating a unique experience that will leave you wondering why you didn’t think of that flavorful combination before now! Be sure to check out their menu online before you head out since it rotates daily. Not to worry though — there is always at least one option for tacos. While we don’t know what filling you’ll choose, we’re pretty sure that there will not be any of it left on your plate.

1345 North Main Street

Tipsy’z: Specialty

You can enjoy filet mignon, blackened shrimp, or crispy fried mahi mahi, just to name a few delectable ingredients inside these tasty tacos. Homemade sauces accompany each of these, making the inevitable delicious drip slowly making its way down your hand less of a bother and more a welcome part of the experience.

805 Westchester Drive.

That said, get out there High Point! Enjoy the best of our city through one of our very favorite lenses: the tastiest tacos we could find.  Did we miss one?  We can only eat so many taco's so if we did - be sure to let us know and we will share them the next time Taco Tuesday rolls around.  Cheers!
