Fall Fun in High Point

The leaves are changing colors, school is well under way, and temperatures are dropping, that means everyone’s favorite season is here! Who doesn’t love Fall? Thanks to sweater weather it is practically acceptable to wear pajamas outside. Pumpkin spice is back in full bloom. And, the holidays are just around the corner. But, one question remains… now that it’s chilly outside, what is there to do? Lucky for you, we’ve made a list of all the wonderful things to do during this amazing time of year.

North Carolina’s most famous Corn Maize is just down the road in Archdale. If you are looking for a fun day out this is totally the place for you! General admission is $12, and with miles of paths, this is a good all-day activity. You can even bring your dog (on a leash please) to walk the trails with you.

Church Group Pumpkin Patches

Many churches all across High Point sell pumpkins as fundraisers during the fall. Picking out a pumpkin is a great way to get into the fall spirit. Both Covenant UMC and Wesley Memorial UMC have big pumpkin sales every fall.

Pumpkin Spice

Everyone loves the fall favorite, pumpkin spice. Krispy Kreme, founded in the neighboring city of Winston-Salem, sells a dee-double delish pumpkin spice doughnut. Starbucks, also known as the center of the pumpkin spice universe, reintroduced their perennial favorite pumpkin spice latte late this summer, long before the temperatures cooled down and what some would say was unseasonably early.  And don’t forget, many of our favorite local coffee shops also have this fall favorite – all you have to do is ask.

Carrot Cake

Another fall favorite is carrot cake, and Dot and Pearl’s Bakery in High Point is famous for their’s. While they do sell this cake year round, it is particularly appropriate in the Fall! While you’re visiting Dot and Peal’s make sure you browse The Market, the consignment store adjoined to the bakery.
