Fall Happenings in High Point

Do you wait to listen to Christmas music after Thanksgiving? Are you a diehard believer in Christmas decorations going up no earlier than Black Friday? If you feel like you need to sneak in some early Christmas music, we definitely won’t tell anyone! But if you’re not quite ready to let go of those pumpkin spice feelings, we have the roundup of a few fall happenings to bridge the gap into the holiday season.

Fall Leaves Family Hike

What? Squeeze in a little bit more time with our beautiful leaves at the Piedmont Environmental Center. On this guided hike with PEC, you and the whole family can learn about trees in the Triad area, as you hike along trails at our nature preserve. Enjoy all the sense of fall – from bright colors to crunchy leaves, to that crisp fall breeze. Just make sure you’re wearing comfy hiking shoes.

The Mini Market

What? While the High Point Farmer’s Market is closed for the fall, Mini Markets for plant and food vendors will be hosted on November 21 and December 19. (There will even be a holiday market on December 5!) Grab some fall goodies from your favorite High Point vendors, and check out the Friends of the Library Mini-Market Book Sale while you’re there. Books are $1 each, and the proceeds support special projects at the library.

Rob Schneider at Truist Point

What? Saturday Night Live’s Rob Schneider will be performing a comedy show at Truist Point stadium on November 21. Tickets are limited as the stadium practices social distancing, so get yours now. You don’t want to miss this night of comedy right here in High Point.

Santa’s Workshop

What? Ready to dive headfirst into the holidays? We admit, this one is for all of you pre-Thanksgiving Christmas fanatics. Gracie Lynn Sewing and Craft Studio is offering Santa’s Workshop, a two-hour arts and crafts workshop for your kiddos to start creating a new holiday masterpiece. Parents, you can get in a little early local Christmas shopping, while your little ones enjoy a day of festive crafts.

Holiday Shopping Market

What? Get a head start on your holiday shopping while enjoying some fall weather at Truist Point. The High Point Rockers are hosting this shopping market which will include more than 40 vendors, 20 business showcase booths, local food trucks, and more. Enjoy a day at the stadium and pick up some High Point gifts while you’re at it.
