Who are we and Why are we doing this?

As a life-long citizen of High Point, I was looking for a way to share the beauty, creativity and culture this city has to offer with others. After years of our phone ringing with countless questions about how to come to HP market and a long list of HPU student babysitters who thought they had to go to Greensboro to do anything, an idea was born. High Point Discovered was started in 2016 as an Instagram page to celebrate the best High Point has to offer, shining a light on businesses and people who make this city so unique. Two years later, it has evolved into a lifestyle blog with a dozen or so team of contributors who found the idea contagious and enthusiastically joined in (see more about them in the box to the right).

Our Goal

Is to create and curate a beautifully rich lifestyle guide on all things High Point: profiling the Who, the What and the Where of this great city we call Home.  It’s unabashedly our point of view, especially on the creative life of this community, inspired by forward thinkers and visionaries.

What’s in it for you?

Consider us a space to learn more about the creative minds that have the passion and energy to turn thought into reality and therefore are shaping not just our community but our world.  With beautiful imagery, unique stories, and more, we are highlighting business and personal profiles, sharing the vision of community leaders, providing HP Market how-to guides, giving HPU families an insider-look and so much more.  It will be a destination for locals and visitors alike with the tips and tricks you need to enjoy this city to the fullest.
