How to Have the Best Summer in High Point
The first day of summer might still be a few weeks away (June 21, here we come!), it’s not too early to start planning how you’re going to have the best summer ever in High Point, NC! Whether you like to cool off inside or soak up some sun outdoors – High Point has a way of making sure every age has the #BestSummerEver.
Cheer on the High Point Rockers
Does anything say “summer” like cracking open some peanuts and cheering for the home team? We can’t think of anything better! Get your tickets today to enjoy a night with your neighbors out at the ballpark. (And don’t forget, on Friday nights you can enjoy fireworks on the field!)
Spend a Day at the Children’s Museum or Q’s Corner
Parents, you know the feeling of, “Oh my gosh, how is it ONLY 11AM?” For those long days at home with school’s out, give the kiddos a way to stretch their legs and their imaginations. At the Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum, you can let the little ones splash in the water room and dig for fossils. They can even get their fill of learning (in a fun way!) at the STEAM lab and Mars Academy.
For especially active little ones, you can also explore Q’s Corner – High Point’s inclusive and accessible play gym. With sensory rooms, virtual reality light rooms, and tons of accessible playground equipment, Q’s Corner means everyone can get their wiggles out this summer.
Book a Staycation
We love travel as much as the next person, but sometimes you just need a weekend to discover your hometown and not worry about complicated travel plans. Plus with gas prices like they are (yikes!), you don’t have to travel far to have a unique stay-cation experience! Book several nights at High Point’s boutique hotel, Pandora’s Manor. The house, built in 1905, is renovated with custom rooms designed by acclaimed designers. Pick one that suits your stay-cation fancy!

From Brown Truck Brewery to the Brewer’s Kettle, to Paddled South Brewing Co., to Goofy Foot Taproom & Brewery – you can enjoy pours throughout the city.
