Launches and Debuts at #HPMKT

Twice a year, the High Point Market introduces the world to the most exciting new designs in furniture and accessories. Slated for Oct. 13-17, this Fall Market is no exception. This season, there are a host of new licensed collections hitting downtown showrooms. They include:

Renowned, longtime furniture designer Stickley is set to launch its largest collection of iconic designs in years. You can visit the Stickley showroom at 225 N. Elm St., (Shuttle Stop 27 on the Red Line). Additionally, Fine Furniture Design is releasing “Quintessence,” its third round of Biltmore licensed products. The 45-piece collection includes dining, accent, upholstery and bedroom furniture. It’s available in a classic look inspired by Biltmore House’s traditional architecture and furniture, along with a second, more casual look reflecting the estate’s rooms such as the observatory and winter garden. FFD is located at 305 S. Hamilton St. (Shuttle Stop 13 on the Green Line).

Two other new licensed furniture collections include Coastal Living for Universal Furniture, and Kim Salmela for Norwalk.

Designers and celebrities abound at Market. Here’s just a sampling of who will debut licensed furniture collections. Erin and Ben Napier of HGTV’s “Home Town” fame are launching a line for Vaughan Bassett. Also releasing new collections are Toma Clark Haines for Aidan Gray, Cheryl Luckett for Sylvester Alexander, Kim Scodro for Pearson, Charlotte Moss for Century, and hip-hop and rap impresario DJ Khaled is rolling his line for Global USA.

With some 2,300 exhibitors, it’s hard to know who’s new, but here are few worth checking out: Bradley and Dowel Furniture, both in IHFC’s InterHall, Society Social in SALON at Market Square, and Skram in the Mill Collective.

If accents are your thing, then you’re in luck. Lots of new intros from noted designers and purveyors will vie for your attention. Currey & Co. is offering products in collaboration with Denise McGaha and Barry Goralnick. You may also want to see Amanda and Barry Lantz for Soicher Marin, Florence Broadhurst Home Décor, Madcap Cottage for Momeni, Mark Sikes for Hudson Valley Lighting, Loloi and Rifle Paper Co., Martyn Lawrence Bullard for Hudson Valley Lighting, and Gabriella Noelle for ZBC.

And, so you aren’t twirling around in the middle of the sidewalk wondering where your fave showroom moved, here are a few important updates: 214 Modern Vintage has a new location at 314 W. Russell Ave., and its mini shop is located at 212 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. The Arteriors showroom has moved to the C&D Building, Unique Loom is new in Market Square and Material ConneXion is at Plant Seven.

Here’s wishing you a truly successful Market.
