Lover of All Things High Point

You know the old saying, “You don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone?” Well we’re starting to think that the longer the world stays shut down, the more we realize just how much we love, appreciate, and miss our city! Last week, we invited our social media followers to share something that they love about High Point. So many of you shared responses, and we found ourselves reminded to be thankful for our city all over again. Take a look at some of the responses we received, and think about which ones you would add.

“I love the way small businesses in our city have found so many ways to promote and support each other during this time while giving back to those who are in need.”

“Love New Path Digital and our local breweries, Paddled South Brewing Co. and Brown Truck Brewery.

“We are constantly reminded by the people and the businesses of HP that we are just one big family. Talk about humbling, to be counted as part of that family! We appreciate Stabb Designs, HPNC, The Brewer’s Kettle and 83 Custom Coffee to name just a few. We can’t wait to serve HP!!”

“We love how High Point Discovered discovers things we either already knew about, but now know more about or has introduced us to new people and places we may not have found on our own.”

“I love The High Point Food Mob Facebook page. People are posting amazing pictures. I’ve discovered some fabulous local restaurants.”

Denise

“I love High Point. Originally from Ohio, High Point has been my home for 6 years. I love our community and how they care for those who are struggling financially, especially with children, provide many food giveaways, and so many wonderful volunteers who assist our elderly population. We’ll make it through this, stay safe and keep in touch with neighbors and communities via phone, text, Zoom, FaceTime, etc. High Point will need our support after this passes…”

Paula

“Right now I’m loving all the support our community is having for small businesses. Chevalrie Salon and Spa is my business which is currently closed under the executive order, but I still feel the love from the High Point community. I love seeing all the small businesses thrive!!”

Abby

“High Point is quite remarkable. We have our own museum, library, theatre, arts council, great parks, university, furniture and fabric market, a 50-year family festival, and so much to enrich our lives. High Point has an incredible history and you can learn all about your town at the High Point Museum. Come see us when we reopen!”

Lisa

“New transplant from Charlotte, NC area. I love the ease of getting around High Point, the availability of so much here in regards to stores/shopping. …Lack of crowds and huge amount of traffic. In summation, an overall easier pace of life that soothes my soul. Oh, and a terrific library!”
