Every year, our city prepares for one of the most exciting and iconic events in our state’s and industry’s calendar: the High Point Market! People from all over the world know about our special city because of the High Point Market, and if you can believe it, people travel from more than 100 countries worldwide to come to the showrooms in High Point each spring and fall.

And while the Furniture Market gets a lot of fame and attention (that we sure are proud to be a part of), we think this year, a few people who may not have their name in showroom lights deserve to be on display too. That’s why we want to introduce you to the team members of the High Point Market Authority.

Twice a year, the High Point Market Authority is responsible for making sure that High Point Market – all 2000 exhibitors, 75,000 attendees, and 12 million-square-feet of show space – is taken care of. That means their roles comprise that of media specialists, event planners, hospitality liaisons, logistics coordinators, travel agents, and so much more. And so often, in the hustle and bustle of Market, the faces of the Market Authority are graciously and tirelessly working behind the scenes to make sure every single part of Market is in place – right down to the last throw pillow. So today, we want you to meet the people behind this more-than-a-century old event.
