HIGH POINT DISCOVERED CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL MAGAZINE LAUNCH PARTY AT THE AMERICAN HOME FURNISHINGS HALL OF FAME

HIGH POINT, N.C. April 5, 2024 – High Point Discovered proudly announces the successful launch of the third volume of its annual print publication, High Point Discovered: The Magazine. The magazine was unveiled at a vibrant launch party held at the awe-inspiring American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame in downtown High Point. The event, attended by more than 200 guests, marked a momentous occasion in celebrating the culmination of High Point Discovered’s efforts to spotlight the diverse stories and individuals within the High Point community.

The evening was filled with excitement and anticipation as attendees gathered to commemorate the release of the latest edition of High Point Discovered: The Magazine. Beyond the unveiling of the magazine, the event served as an opportunity to honor the dedicated contributors and community members whose stories grace the pages of this year’s publication. There were interactive exhibits from those featured in the magazine, including a community painting by Rhen.Ovations Studio, giveaways from the City of High Point, Thrive High Point, and the Arc of High Point. A small business owner featured in this publication, Shauna Greene of Anointed Cutz Barbershop, also spoke about her experience being featured.

“We are thrilled to have hosted such a memorable event to launch High Point Discovered: The Magazine,” said Amber Williamson, executive director at High Point Discovered. “This publication stands as a resounding tribute to the vibrant tapestry of our community and the incredible individuals who call High Point home. We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to make this year’s edition a reality. We hope the community views this publication as more than just a magazine; it’s a testament to the relentless spirit and boundless creativity that define our beloved city.”

Mayor of High Point, Cyril Jefferson, who is a founding board member of High Point Discovered, spoke about High Point Discovered’s impact on the community:

“In High Point, we are so bold about what’s happening next that we need someone to help share our story, and High Point Discovered recognizes how our perspective matters… In this community, High Point Discovered, and every person in this room tonight, is the reason why High Point is going to the next level.”

The event was supported through the generosity of financial and in-kind sponsors: the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame, Pinnacle Financial Partners, Savor the Moment Bakery, Sonkissed Gatherings, Fidelity Bank, Simon Jewelers, Signature Wealth Strategies, the City of High Point, Rhen.Ovations Studio, and the Arc of High Point.
