Spice Seekers: Hottest Foods in High Point

We are feeling the heat and getting our sweat on this summer! And as the temperature outside rises, we’re ready to kick up the heat inside. If you’re a fan of spicy foods that make you reach for a glass of water – and then for another bite!!  Here are few of the places in High Point to get a spicy fix for your palate.

98 Asian Bistro

1800 N Main St #106

We love 98 Asian Bistro for all the yummy Asian-fusion dishes and cocktails the staff makes up. But if you’re especially in the mood for something spicy, order your dish Thai Hot! While there’s a scale of spice on the menu, the Thai Hot is hotter than “normal” hot. If you’re used to hot food and wanting something to stretch your taste buds, ask which dishes have the Thai Hot option.

Wicked Taco

2005 N Main St.

If you haven’t stopped into Wicked Taco yet, you have to go and find your new favorite taco and salsa from their salsa bar. There are plenty of menu items that are flavorful but don’t make you break a sweat, but if you order the “Freddy Likes It Hot” taco, be ready with a nearby glass of water. The habanero-sauced carnitas are full of flavor and fire!

Blue Rock Pizza

1529 N Main St.

Blue Rock Pizza is famous for their pies, but if you’re in the mood for a pizza that packs a punch, the buffalo-based Ring of Fire pizza is plenty hot and spicy. This pizza might go best with a ranch or blue cheese dipping sauce, and it’s sure to leave you with a zing!

Gianno’s

124 Eastchester Dr.

Gianno’s has a menu full of Italian favorites, from baked spaghetti to tiramisu. But if you want an Italian favorite that will spice up your tastebuds, we recommend the Seafood Fra Diavolo! The spicy tomato-sauce served with a medley of shrimp, scallops, and clams is rich and fiery!

El Pequeño Mexico Tienda

800 S Main St., Suite 101

You may be surprised to find this little restaurant, that you probably haven’t heard of, has some of the best spicy, authentic Mexican food in High Point. Located in the back of this Mexican grocery store, the staff serves up incredible food that will surprise you with its authenticity, freshness, and flavor. If you’re in the mood to be adventurous – with your flavors and your food choices – add El Pequeño Mexico Tienda to your list.

East Coast Wings

2900 N Main Street

And of course, what would a tour de force of spicy foods be without…hot wings?! East Coast Wings is famous for their wings and their extensive sauce selection, ranging from virgin, mild, medium, hot, X-hot, volcanic, and insanity. While some of their sauces are great for heat-seekers, their insanity sauce comes with a waiver you have to sign because of its crazy temp! So we recommend only for the strongest spice lovers!

So get fired up and find your heat fix in High Point this summer!
