If you’re like us, you feel like you have stared at screens so much that your pupils have turned into squares. If you feel like you can’t binge one more show on Netflix or look at one more post on social media, you may need to refresh your mind with new ideas. The High Point Library has you covered! You don’t have to travel far to explore new places and stories with all of their online resources and programs.

Ways to Read

The High Point Public Library is now open again! (Kind of!) Although the library itself isn’t open to the public, our local librarians are working hard to make sure that all returned books and media have been set aside for the appropriate amount of time for safety purposes, and then ready to lend out to you again.

  • If you already have a High Point Library card, you can call ahead or go online to reserve the books or movies you’d like to check out.

  • If you don’t have a High Point library card yet, now is the time to get one! By calling 336-883-3660, you can get a library card for free if you’re a Guilford County or High Point city resident. (If you’re not a county or city resident, not to worry! You can still get a card for a yearly fee.)

  • Plus, did you know that with apps like Libby, Hoopla, you can use your library card number to check out e-books and audiobooks right from your tablet or mobile device? Download the apps from the App Store and get started today!

  • You can also visit the library’s Downloadable Titles page on the website for more information about the three digital collections that are available (with printable instructions): NC Digital Library, Hoopla Digital, and RB Digital:

  • Check out the Digital Bestsellers page to see a selection of bestsellers that are currently available to download. The list is updated weekly!
