Q. How did you wind up in the health and  fitness  industry?

A. Growing up playing sports I always had the heart for fitness. It was one of my goals: either going to the NFL or owning a gym.

Q. What type of career would you have in an alternate universe?

A. NFL wide receiver or superhero, lol!

Q. What do you wish you knew when first starting that you know now?

A. Well, I learn something new every day…that’s the beauty of being an entrepreneur. That, and you must brand yourself.

Q. What would people be surprised to learn about you?

A. I’ve been a vegan since February of 2018

Q. What motivates you?

A. God, family and my fiancé Tiffany Fox, along with my clients getting results and witnessing them do things they never thought they would be able to do.

Q. Best career advice you have ever received?

A. Be yourself, stay focused on your vision, and never stop learning – listen to podcasts, interviews of successful people with the same career, etc.

Q. Favorite book?

A. Wholeness by Touré Roberts and Business Shoe Dog a memoir by the creator of Nike, Phil Knight

Q. Best vacation you have taken?

A. My trip to Boston for my client’s wedding. I surprised him on his wedding day.

Q. Where will find you on a Sunday afternoon?

A. Leaving church with my fiancé, then kayaking Oak Hollow marina or relaxing around the house.

 

Q. Your go-to cocktail (or mocktail)?

A. “Gold Rush” with Bookers Bourbon

Q. What makes you truly happy?

A. Being absorbed in outdoor activities that I love, being with my fiancé Tiffany Fox, helping others, and spending time with my family.

 

Q. As you know, HPU is right here with incredible students looking to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. What three pieces of advice would you give them?

A.

1. Always look presentable. 2. Do it with passion. 3. Be consistent.

A. 98 Asian Bistro: from the staff to the owners Todd and Tu.

Q. Where would you tell a first-time visitor to High Point to go and why?

A. Oak Hollow Marina – it’s peaceful and you can fish, rent a kayak, paddle board, etc.
