Where to Look at Christmas Lights in HP
What is it about the twinkle of lights, the red of ribbons, and the wreaths on the front doors that get us so in the Christmas spirit? Each year, we love to turn on our favorite Christmas music in the car and drive through all of the beautiful brightness of our city decked out in Christmas lights! High Point has some beautiful drives if you’re looking for a little Christmas lights action. Discover the spots below!

High Point University – Community Christmas Drive
Dec. 19-Jan. 1 – 5pm-8pm
Enjoy the magnificent lights, more than 200 nutcrackers, and the state’s tallest Christmas tree at High Point University! HPU welcomes visitors to drive through and enjoy their state-of-the-art Christmas decor, including their life-size nativity scene. Enter at the University Parkway entrance. You will exit at Panther Drive onto Lexington Avenue by the new Nido and Mariana Qubein Arena and Conference Center, where you will see the 58-foot-tall Christmas tree! Learn more here.


Take a Self-Guided Tour through Emerywood
When it comes to neighborhood lights, Emerywood can hold its own with Christmas cities across the country! These beautiful, historic homes in Emerywood and surrounding neighborhoods go all out for Christmas, with massive Christmas trees, candles in the windows, and more. Follow our map to take a guided tour of Emerywood, but don’t be afraid to explore side streets and see all of the way High Pointers deck out for the holidays! (Plus, end your Emerywood tour at Krispy Kreme and grab a doughnut and cup of hot chocolate to complete your night!)


Downtown High Point
Take a drive down Main Street in downtown HP to see the city’s Christmas lights and streetlamp decorations! Grab a drink at Paddled South or Unwind on Main to complete your night of Christmas lights downtown.
