Making Your Way (Out Of) Downtown: Spots to Visit Around High Point
At High Point Market, downtown High Point is center stage – no doubt about it. Year after year, our city transforms our downtown into a hotbed of furniture design.
Showplace, ECI, Holland House, Parker House, Art Addiction, Najarian and more have invested in High Point’s downtown, which you can see and read more about here.
But during Market, there may come a moment when you need a little breather. You may find you just need to step away from downtown and recharge to jump back in refreshed and ready to experience more design goodness. Below we’ve compiled some of the best places for you to relax and unwind in High Point – away from downtown.
Night Market @CoHab
Brown Truck Brewery
One of our all-time favorite High Point spots is Brown Truck Brewery. Not only are their custom brews incredible, but their outdoor space is perfect for groups. Grab some new Market friends and head to Brown Truck to enjoy a night away from work.
Sweet Old Bill’s
In the mood for some classic southern cuisine? Grab a bite at Sweet Old Bill’s. With everything from pulled pork to smoked chicken, you’ll find something to satisfy your taste for southern home cooking. If it’s a warm night, grab an outdoor seat and enjoy a taste of High Point’s uptown.
Tipsy’z Tavern
Grab a friend and grab a drink at Tipsy’z Tavern. Famous for the bar food and their crafted cocktails, Tipsy’z is great way to end a night at Market.
WiFi Wine Bar
1605 N. Main St.
WiFi Wine Bar is a place for letting your hair down with open mic nights on Thursdays and live music on Fridays. They also offer a variety of specials on wine and beer, so it’s a great place to “wine down” after a long day of Market.
Goofy Foot Taproom
Head over on Tuesday night at 7pm for trivia night and $1 pours, at the west coast-inspired, Goofy Foot Taproom. Make some memories outside of Market by competing with a team of trivia champs.
Plank Street Tavern
Known for its “chill” atmosphere and craft beers, Plank Street Tavern will give you a place to kick back and enjoy a brew with all your Market pals.
High Pints (Rockers’ Stadium)
The Rockers’ stadium brought more than just baseball to our city. It brought the hottest new “speakeasy-esque” bar in town, High Pints. Even when games aren’t being played, High Pints is open for business.
We hope you enjoy all High Point has to offer, whether up or down…town.
