Meet:  Jeremy Walley (photographed above).

Owner, restaurateur and food truck operator of Manna Food Truck Jeremy opened Manna Food Truck in April with girlfriend/partner Kylie Tucker.

“My goal was to open a food truck that would cater to everyone. Especially those who are vegetarian, vegan or have food allergies. Never compromising flavor or quality of ingredients. I was the chef at Bluewater Grill for 4 years and Lulu and Blu for 3.”

Q: How did you wind up in the food industry?

A. A love for cooking and creating lured me to culinary school which landed me a job at M. Stephen’s over a decade ago.

Q: What type of career would you have in an alternate universe?

A. I would be Alex Honnold.

Q: What do you wish you knew when first starting that you know now?

A. An abundance of people want to help you and see you succeed… Don’t be too proud to ask for help.

Q: What would people be surprised to learn about you?

A. I am terrified of heights. I can deal with them though.

A. The future. Sometimes the past as well.

Q: Best career advice you have ever received?

A. Find your passion.

Q: Favorite book (business or pleasure)?

A. Running a food truck for dummies.

Q: Best vacation you have taken?

A. 2 week western excursion last summer. Packed up the car and saw most of the country!

Q: Where would we find you on a Sunday afternoon?

A. Watching the Pats dominate!?… Or cooking on the truck. Either option sounds like a great afternoon!

Q: Your go-to cocktail (or mocktail)?

A. O’douls amber.

A. Kylie.

Q: As you know, HPU is right here with incredible students looking to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams – what three pieces of advice would you give them?

A. Find something that you’re truly passionate about. Possibilities are endless. Never stop pursuing your dreams!

A. An evening at Brown Truck Brewery with Manna Food Truck. Great beer and delicious food!  Plenty of quality folks there to socialize with as well!

Recently Barbour Spangle hosted a summer block party and invited Jeremy and Kylie to cater.  The event was a smashing success and the Manna Food truck got a thumbs up from even the pickiest of eaters (and trust us, we have some in this crowd!)
