Perfect Foodie Day in Uptown HP

One of the great things about High Point is the many amazing and diverse restaurants the city has to offer. In celebration of this we want to share with you our idea of the perfect Feed Worthy Food Day. Follow us around to some of our favorite restaurants around the Main Street and Lexington Avenue neighborhood. With so many yummy eateries, we could never hope to cover them all so stay tuned because we will definitely share more of our faves in the future. So, grab your walking shoes and get ready for our first Feed Worthy Food Day in High Point! Be sure to share all of your feed worth food using #hpdiscovered.

To start the day off right you’ll need some energy to get going. Head over to one of our favorite coffee shops, 83 Custom Coffee, FosterHobbs or DeBeen. All three of these awesome coffee shops offer rich, delicious coffee, lattes, and pastries. But wait! Don’t fill up on any sweet treats just yet, you’ll want to save room for later!

After a jumpstart to your day, stop in at Yoga Mindset for some morning stretches. Yoga is a great way to center yourself before your day to ensure maximum relaxation. You can check out their class times here.

Following your sun salutations, make a stop at High Point’s iconic breakfast spot, Tom’s Place. They are sure to satisfy all your home-cooked breakfast cravings. The best part is that they serve breakfast all day. In addition to serving every type of benedict you can imagine, they offer fluffy, southern style pancakes and scrumptious French toast

We need to take a quick break for some shopping. So head over to one of High Point’s newest and most fashionable shops, Monkee’s! It’s the perfect place to find that chic new outfit or unexpected accessory.

We know shopping makes you hungry (at least it makes us hungry) and we’ve got some ideas to satisfy your stomach. No need to drive, you can just walk down the street to Blue Rock Pizza. This is anything but your typical pizza pie joint. You can go with their mouthwatering “Peace Train” cheese pizza or get as crazy as their “Gypsy” pizza which features roasted cauliflower, yellow squash, roasted red peppers, Kalamata olives, and fresh basil—yum!

Just a short walk around the corner from Blue Rock is The Market, the next stop on our adventure. Somewhat of an antique shop blended with vintage and collectibles, you’re sure to find that knick-knack or unique furnishings piece for your home. There’s also the cutest in-house bakery, Dot and Pearl’s, stacked with decedent cakes of all flavors. Grab a slice of cake before you leave.

Ready for a libation? Just walk across the street to Real Kitchen and Market. Their wine and tapas bar is a perfect late afternoon stopover. They also offer a rotating selection of craft beers. And if you want to have a dinner at home, they have a nice selection of gourmet meals-to-go.

But if you’re ready for your evening repast without needing to turn on your oven, stroll back to the corner of Main and Lexington for dinner at Fixins. An American eatery with all fresh and local ingredients, Fixins’ changes their menu every week so each trip will feel like a new experience.

To round out your neighborhood foodie day, we invite you stroll over to Brown Truck Brewery to cap off the night. Lounge on their patio and enjoy a local beer that’s on tap. If you’re more into wine, they’ve got those too. Pro tip: Check their social media for their live music lineup!
